Red Eye 2 Tokyo is a Los Angeles-based contemporary jazz ensemble that has roots that run deep in Japanese folk music. Composer Shih-wei assembled the band of Angeleno jazzers and Japanese instrumental musicians to explore the raw energy of live Japanese folk performance through American improvised music.
